Indianapolis, IN — A new event being added for 2020 to the popular annual Artomobilia weekend in Carmel, Ind., will benefit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum, it was announced Saturday.
“Revolanté: A Celebration of Revolutionary Automobiles” — a concours-type event featuring judging of multiple categories of carefully curated vintage cars from across the United States — will take place Sunday, Aug. 23 to close out the 2020 Artomobilia weekend.
Gene Perkins, a nationally recognized automotive collector, multi-time concours winner at Pebble Beach and IMS Foundation board member, is the selection committee chairman for Revolanté.
“After a decade of growth in the Artomobilia concept, we were eager to add the perfect Sunday finale to one of Central Indiana’s best outdoor events, and we’re elated to have the IMS Museum staff and board of directors partner with us,” said John Leonard, co-founder of Artomobilia.
Proceeds from the event’s ticket sales will directly benefit the non-profit IMS Museum and its many programs that preserve and share — through exhibits, tours and educational events — the rich history of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Indiana’s automotive heritage.
