Las Vegas, NV – A new 20-minute video from the Shelby Heritage Center offers a wonderful tour of rare Shelbys and special insight into Carroll Shelby’s life, both on and off the track.
The Drive’s Alan Taylor interviews Center president Gary Patterson as they walk through the facility that displays more than 30 Shelby vehicles and an amazing amount of historical memorabilia.
Among the topics Taylor and Patterson touch on is the pivotal role Peter Brock played in the development of cars for Shelby American. In fact, one of the most striking cars at the Center is a Brock-designed 50th anniversary Daytona coupe, finished in polished aluminum. (FYI, Brock is the honored guest for Vintage Sports Car Drivers Association’s Sept. 17-19 Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival.)
